How to Pay the U.S. Visa Fee in Pakistan
The DS-160 itself has no submission fee. Applicants in Pakistan pay the separate nonimmigrant visa application (consular) fee through the official U.S. visa appointment service before an interview can be scheduled.
Payment methods in Pakistan
The official Pakistan payment options page currently lists four methods:
- EFT via 1Bill (any Pakistani bank): in your bank's app or portal, open Payments → 1Bill, and enter the 13-digit prefix 1002231293119 followed by your 11-digit CGI reference number from the deposit slip. Fetch details, verify the amount, confirm with OTP, and download the receipt.
- Cash at any Bank Alfalah branch: print one deposit slip from your profile, bring your passport for identification, and pay the exact amount before the slip's expiry date. Cheques are not accepted.
- Visa/Mastercard issued in Pakistan through the payment confirmation screen.
- USD card option: accepts U.S.-issued Mastercard only — any other card is declined and refunds can take days to release.

Step-by-step payment process
- Submit the DS-160 and save the confirmation page.
- Create a profile on the official Pakistan visa service and start the application (visa type, post, category, class).
- On the payment options screen, verify the number of applicants, visa category, and PKR amount (set at the consular exchange rate), then generate the deposit slip or open the card flow.
- Pay once, for the exact amount, before the slip expires.
- Save the payment reference number and receipt — they cannot be replaced if lost, and you cannot schedule without them.
- Once the receipt activates, return to your account and schedule the interview.
Pakistan-specific payment rules
- The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, whether or not a visa is issued, and can be used for scheduling for one year from payment.
- If a payment appears to fail, do not pay again — email support-pakistan@usvisascheduling.com with your reference. Duplicates are not refunded.
- 1Bill payments require the exact 24-digit reference (13-digit prefix + 11-digit CGI number) — a typo can leave the payment unmatched.
- Bank Alfalah refuses expired deposit slips — regenerate a fresh slip in your profile if yours lapses.
- One deposit slip covers a family or group — do not print multiple copies.

How much is the U.S. visa fee in rupees?
The fee is set in U.S. dollars — $185 for B visitor and F/M/J student visas, higher for petition-based categories — and collected in PKR at the consular exchange rate printed on your deposit slip. Confirm the current amount on the Department of State fee schedule.
Can I pay through JazzCash or Easypaisa?
Only if your wallet or bank app offers the 1Bill bill-payment option — the payment must go through 1Bill with the exact reference format above, not as an ordinary transfer.
Do I need my passport to pay cash?
Yes. Bank Alfalah requires your passport for identification at the counter, along with the printed, unexpired deposit slip.
I paid but can't schedule yet. Should I pay again?
No. Wait for the receipt to activate in your profile; if it doesn't appear, contact support-pakistan@usvisascheduling.com with your transaction reference. A second payment will not be refunded.
Can I use a fee paid in Pakistan for an interview in another country?
No. A fee paid through the Pakistan system is tied to applying in Pakistan. If you switch countries, expect to create a profile in that country's system and pay again.
