The DS-160 itself has no submission fee. Applicants in Jordan pay the separate nonimmigrant visa application (consular) fee through the official appointment service before an interview in Amman can be scheduled.
Payment methods in Jordan
The official Jordan payment options page currently lists three methods:
- Cash at a VFS Visa Application Center: two VFS locations accept cash. Print the fee collection slip from your profile, bring your passport for identification, and pay the exact JOD amount before the slip's expiration date — expired slips are refused.
- Credit/debit card online in JOD: paid in Jordanian dinars through a link at checkout. The billing address must match your card exactly or the payment is declined.
- USD credit/debit card via Elavon: billed in U.S. dollars, Mastercard.

Step-by-step payment process
- Submit the DS-160 and save the confirmation page.
- Create a profile on the official Jordan visa service.
- Verify the number of applicants, visa category, and JOD amount (set at the consular exchange rate) before paying — underpaying for your visa class can block scheduling.
- Pay cash at a VFS VAC with the printed slip and your passport, or by card online.
- Save the receipt — it cannot be replaced if lost, and its number is required to schedule.
- Schedule the interview from your profile once the receipt activates.
